Jeder kennt das Problem: je länger der Computer nicht neu aufgesetzt wurde, desto mehr vermüllt die Festplatte. Dadurch wird der Computer mit der Zeit merklich langsamer und das Arbeiten mühsamer. Eine Lösung für dieses Problem kann zum Beispiel die kostenlose Software Baku bieten.

Denn mit Baku kann auf dem Computer virtuell reine gemacht werden. Baku erkennt und löscht auf Wunsch leere Ordner, Temporäre Dateien, "History"-Dateien, den "Zuletzt benutzte Dokumente" Ordner, temporäre Internetdateien und Cookies. Ebenso können die Windows Log Files gelöscht werden und Verknüpfungen zu gelöschten Dateien werden erkannt und entfernt.

Auch die Registry kann Baku aufräumen. Nachdem ein automatisches Backup dieser wichtigen Systemkomponte vorgenommen wurde, wird auch dort ausgemistet. Dabei werden unbenutzte Registryeinträge, Anwendungspfade, Schriftarten, Hilfsdateien. etc entfernt sowie Überreste von deinstallierten Programmen gelöscht. Und damit die gelöschten Daten und Werte auch wirklich weg sind, verwendet Baku dazu den DOD 5220.22-M Standard, welcher die sichere Datenvernichtung gewährleistet.

Baku benötigt das .Net Framework 2.0 um korrekt zu funktionieren.
